After Ceremony Attire ~
I just found out that in addition to changing in to their uniforms AFTER the ceremony tomorrow, girls may also change into nice sundresses afterward, and the boys may change into something more casual, but NICE (nice shorts & short sleeved, button shirts or polo shirts).
Students MAY NOT wear jeans or T-shirts after the ceremony and girls may not change into shorts or pants other than uniforms (sundresses only).
Please note, attire for the Recognition Ceremony ~ which is scheduled for 9:50 a.m. ~ remains the same: white dresses for girls, and white shirts and dark dress pants for the boys. (Ties are optional.)
Again, clothing options for AFTER the Recognition Ceremony:
Uniforms
Nice sundresses (girls)
Nice shorts, polo shirts or nice, short-sleeved button up shirts.
I apologize for the late notice, but I did not receive the information until after tutoring and (because of some glitch in the system) I could not access the internet at school.

Dear Parents,
CRCT Math & Reading remediation continues this week. This week’s math focus will be on fractions and decimals.
CRCT Review update: Neither Mr. Owmby nor I will be conducting review sessions on June 22 & 23, because CRCT summer school will give students the additional tutoring we’d planned to provide.
Reminders:
Take-Home folders will go home on Friday, if necessary.
However, students were given a graded test packet today and may still turn in autopsies to improve their grades. All autopsies must be turned in by this Wednesday, June 10.
The Fifth Grade Recognition ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. this Wednesday morning. (The organizers have asked that parents be here 15 minutes prior to this so that everyone can be seated before the processional begins.) Girls are to wear white dresses (or white skirts & blouses). Boys are to wear white shirts with black dress pants. Students who are not dresses appropriately will not be allowed to participate in the processional.
Report Cards: Issues involving pictures, picture money, lunch money, after school bills/fines, overdue library books, or missing textbooks must all be cleared up this week in order to receive your child’s year-end report card.
As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Working together for student success,
Mrs. Pede

Dear Parents,
CRCT Math & Reading remediation will begin this week. In fact, our class began 2-hour math sessions this morning. We were scheduled to complete our graphing and data analysis instruction this morning, and we’ll be focusing on circumference & areas of circles for the rest of the week.
Learning new math skills and reviewing/mastering skills learned previously are critical to students’ success, not just for the CRCT retest, but also as a foundation for sixth grade math. To maximize their chances of success, students need to focus on and complete all math tasks when they are assigned. To that end, MATH ASSIGNMENTS CAN NO LONGER BE TURNED IN LATE.
Take-Home folders will not go home this week as they were sent home on Thursday, May 21.
Reminders:
All make-up work is due by this Friday, May 29.
Issues involving pictures, picture money, lunch money, after school bills/fines must all be cleared up in order to received your child’s year-end report card.
