1. Vocabulary/Spelling: Complete Wordly Wise 10A & 10B. B. Write sentences for Wordly Wise 10A or write sentences using 5 of your spelling words in a way that show you understand the meanings of the words. Circle the subject & underline the predicate.
2. Math: Complete Classifying Triangles ~ Check problems 1-4, Practice problems 9-13, 18-19 3. Language Arts: Begin Proofreading Makes Perfect: Proofread and edit the paragraphs.
4. Reading: Read for twenty minutes.
Tuesday ~ Oct. 28
1. Vocabulary/Spelling: Complete Wordly Wise 10C & 10D. B. Write sentences using 5 different spelling words in a way that show you understand the meanings of the words. Circle the subject of the sentence and underline the predicate. (Omit if you wrote the sentences for 10A.)
2. Math: Complete Quadrilaterals and Other Polygons, problems 1-3.
3. Language Arts: Continue Proofreading Makes Perfect: Combine sentences with similar predicates and the, using your best handwriting, begin rewriting the paragraphs correctly on a separate sheet of paper.
4. Social Studies: A) Read Summary: Reconstruction and complete Before You Read and After You Read. B) On a separate sheet of paper, write descriptions of the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments.
5. Reading: Read for twenty minutes.
Wednesday ~ Oct. 29
1. Vocabulary/Spelling: Complete Wordly Wise 10E. Follow the instructions and write complete sentence answers using each of the spelling words.
2. Math: Lesson Review: Complete Do You Know How? problems 1-6 and Do You Understand? questions A, B, & C.
3. Language Arts: Complete Proofreading Makes Perfect.
4. Social Studies: A) Read Summary: The Challenge of Freedom and complete Before You Read and After You Read. B) On a separate sheet of paper, explain whether you think Reconstruction was a success or not.
4. Reading: Read for twenty minutes.
Thursday ~ Oct. 30
1. Vocabulary/Spelling: Write 3 synonyms (a word that has the same meaning) or a phrase with the same meaning for each word (use a Thesaurus!) and then use syllabication to create 2 spelling pyramids for each word.
2. Math: Lesson Review: Complete Do You Know How? problems 7-10 and Do You Understand? questions E and G.
3. Language Arts: Complete final draft of this week’s writing assignment, if necessary.
4. Social Studies: Use your study guide and review for tomorrow’s test on Reconstruction.
5. Reading: Write a 1-2 paragraph summary describing what you’ve been reading during your home reading times and a 1-2 paragraph response to your reading. (For example: What did you think about the text you’re reading? or How did it make you feel? Can you make any connections between what you read and your life to another book, movie, or TV show, or to anything else you’re familiar with?) You should include the title and author of your text, what the book, article, etc. is about, and some specifics about what you read this week.
