1. Vocabulary/ Spelling: Complete Wordly Wise 18B: Just the Right Word. B. Create word webs for the next three Wordly Wise 18 words (convince, decline, hilarious).

*2. Math: Complete Math Boxes on pg. 146 (all problems) & pg. 149 (problems 2-6 only).

*3. Language Arts: Complete pgs. 36-37 in Language Arts Practice Book. B. Review action verbs, direct objects, linking verbs, be verbs, and main & helping verbs for tomorrow’s Verbs test.

*4. Science: Read What is a Volcano and answer the questions.

5. Reading: Continue reading Chapters 15-19 of Bud, Not Buddy. Begin creating a list of the most important events that have happened in the book. Focus on one main event for each chapter.

Thursday

1. Vocabulary/ Spelling: Study for your vocabulary - spelling test by using syllabication to create 3 spelling pyramids for the first 7 WW18 words and for the 3 “No Excuses” words. Know definitions for all of this week’s words! B. Create word webs the next two Wordly Wise 18 words (likeness & meager). Be sure to include all definitions for each word on your webs.

3. Language Arts: Create a brainstorm for the persuasive essay prompt you received in class today.

5. Reading: Continue reading Chapters 15-19 of Bud, Not Buddy. Continue to note examples of figurative language: similes, metaphors, onomatopoeia, hyperbole, idiom, personification, alliteration.
