Dear Parents,

Remember, this week is early dismissal days. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. all week and should be picked up by 12:30.

This is also Parent-Teacher Conference Week for those of you who are interested in meeting with me. I think I have contacted almost everyone, so please let me know when you’d like to meet. As I mentioned in my email or phone call to you, I am scheduling conferences Tuesday through Friday, from 1:30 – 5:00, at half hour intervals.

Take-Home folders: Take-Home folders will be given to you during your scheduled conference this week. Please be sure send in your student’s signed folder & cover sheets of all tests it may contain if you have not already done so. Thank you.

CRCT Test Prep info: The school is offering math and reading workshops (from 8-12) during Intercession (March 23-April 3). The cost of the workshops is $35 per child, per class, per subject. Space is limited so sign up in the office as soon as possible. (Please call the office if you have further questions.)

In addition, thank you to those of you who are having your students log onto to the Online Assessment site (www.georgiaoas.org) to take the Teacher Assigned tests. Not only is this is a great way for students to familiar with the content that will be covered, but it can also help familarize them with the language and format of the tests. I’d appreciated it if everyone would instruct their students to log on to the site and take the test.

The 2nd administration of the Iowa Test of Basic Skills has been re-scheduled for May 6-12 (after the CRCTs).

Snow Day rescheduled: Next Monday, March 16 is listed as a snow day on the calendar. However, school will be in session that day as the "snow day" has been rescheduled for Friday, May 22 (giving the IIAM family a 4-day weekend for Memorial Day).

Wanted: Our class could still use the following items: tissues, paper towels, Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, or hand soap.

Working together for student success,

Mrs. Pede

No math tutoring this week.
