Homework Tuesday, March 17 -- Thursday, March 20

Tuesday

1. Vocabulary/ Spelling: Complete Wordly Wise 20B: Just the Right Word. B. Create word webs for distress, encounter, indignant (Wordly Wise 20 words).

*2. Math: Complete SMJ 2 pgs. 260-261. B. Study for tomorrow’s Math Vocabulary Test.

3. Language Arts: Work on Parts of Speech mini-posters you began in class.

Parts of Speech Mini-posters (or booklets)

For each "mini-poster" or page ~ write the name of one of the eight parts of speech (noun, verb, etc.). Then include the following information: 1. A definition of the the part of speech. 2. Five (5) examples for each part of speech. 3. A sentence correctly using the part of speech, with the part of speech underlined. 4. Picture (or pictures) representing the part of speech or the example sentence. Remember, neatness counts ~ creativity is extra.

4. Complete any necessary make-up work and/or test autopsies.

Wednesday

1. Vocabulary/ Spelling: Create word webs for jest, moral, resume, ridicule (Wordly Wise 20 words).

*2. Math: Model Multiplication (Homework 12.1).

3. Language Arts: Complete Parts of Speech mini-posters.

*4. Social Studies / Reading: Read Summary: The Great Depression & complete Before You Read and After You Read exercises.

5. Complete any necessary make-up work and/or test autopsies.

Thursday

1. Vocabulary/ Spelling: Study for your vocabulary - spelling test by using syllabication to create 3 spelling pyramids for the 10 WW20 words listed above. Know definitions for all 10 words!

*2. Math: Complete __________________________________. B. Review for Fractions test.

*3. Language Arts: Complete Punctuate the Sentences.

4. Complete any necessary make-up work and/or test autopsies.

Reading: Remember, your next book report is due on Friday, April 17.
