Dear Parents
Just a few quick notes:
CRCT Test Prep info: Please make sure your student takes at least one of the teacher assigned tests on Georgia Online Assessment website each week. (Please have your student make arrangements with me to schedule their tests at school if they do not have internet access at home.)
For those of you who sent the $18 for the Buckle Down CRCT prep books for Math and Reading: Ms. McBurrows should be ordering the books this week.
I would encourage everyone to purchase these books, if possible as it will give students something to study and review with over our long Spring Intercession. (If you would still like to order books, please send $18 by tomorrow –Tuesday, Jan. 27 – as we may be placing a second order.)
If your student is struggling with math (or just wants to review), please note the math instructional video websites listed in Websites of the Week above. These videos are a great resource that can help students both review and master necessary math skills.
Reminders: The 3rd book report is due this Friday, Jan. 30.
As I mentioned last week, we will begin a class novel study of the book Bud, Not Buddy next Monday, Feb. 2. ALL of the students will need a copy of the book, so please begin planning to check the book out of a library or purchasing it from a bookstore. (Please let me know if you have problems getting it.)
Final notes: I’d still appreciate donations of notebook paper, tissues, paper towels, Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, or hand soap (as they are no longer providing it in the restrooms ~ because students were emptying full soap containers on the floors, as well for budgetary reasons), as well as Honey Nut Cheerios for students who do not bring a snack. (Snack reminder: healthy snacks only – no chips or sweets – with water or 100% juice.)
Working together for student success,
Mrs. Pede
