Congratulations to Chika, Aspen, Sabrina, Keyan, Konner, Dishon, Dyamond, Spencer, and Yehu for becoming members of our Mastery Club. All of these students have "mastered" at least one of the topics listed on the Mastery Club board ~ and a few students are well on their way to achieving "Expert" status (mastering 16 of the 71 listed topics.)
The Mastery Club topic list can be found on the link provided on this page. However, please note that we've made a few changes.
For Social Studies, topics #4 (types of dwellings), 19, 20, & 21 (Oregon facts) have been deleted. "Describing 10 facts about how the world's geography has changed," "Name the first 10 Amendments to the U. S. Constitution," and "Name & give dates for the 5 stories on the Freedom Timeline" (http://z22.whitehouse.gov/kids/timeline/railroad.html) have been added.
For Science, topics 41 & 48 have been deleted and "Naming 5 facts about plants and 3 types of plants," and "List the 6 steps in the scientific method" have been added.
For Language Arts, giving 2 examples of "hyperbole" has been added to task #56.
