First, my apologies for not getting this posted yesterday. I know several of you check it on Mondays to stay updated as to your students' assignments.
Next, you’ll notice a change in the weekly reading assignment. I’ve added a reading log to the homework packet as very few students were turning in their weekly reading summaries. The log is self-explanatory, so please be sure to initial the log daily (after your student completes it).
Also, as I mentioned to many of you during our conference, please remind your students to study the Wordly Wise words (definitions and usage) each day so that they do well on their weekly vocabulary tests.
Finally, I'd like to express my gratitude to those of you who helped with our Fall Festival tasks last week ~ Mary Fuller-Stanley, Mike Broadwell, Duley & Ensie Longino, Shelley Haynes-Napon, and Jacqueline Sierra. And an extra special thanks goes to Sherall & Stanley Edwards, who pulled double duty ~ coordinating and setting up our game booth and auction basket, while doing the same for Ms. Paul's class. Thank you also to those of you I may not have seen, who helped out with other tasks on Saturday. Again, my deepest appreciation to all of you who helped make the Fall Festival a success.
